I have never been big on recipies for Realtors…but I love sones.
Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Mix the dry ingredients together, then cut the butter into the mix. In a separate bowl, whisk together the buttermilk, egg, orange juice and grated orange rind. Pour into flour mixture. Add dried cranberries and mix until moistened.
Knead dough on a lightly floured surface. Divide into two rounds and place on a greased baking sheet. Cut each round into six triangles. Separate the wedges and bake for 15 to 20 minutes, until they spring back to the touch. Scones can be served warm, or you can let them sit for 5 minutes and then remove them to a cooling rack.
To prepare the glaze, cream the cream cheese in a mixing bowl. Add the powdered sugar and use an electric mixer until smooth. With mixer on lowest speed, slowly add juice until mixture reaches a glaze consistency. Spoon glaze over scones. Makes 12 delicious baked treats! I hope you enjoy this recipe! Please remember me when you, your friends or your family need information or options for home financing.
